10th North Leeds St Edmund's Scout Group

A Space  to Belong

 The Scout Group was founded in 1933, is sponsored by St Edmund's Church and is open to all in accordance with UK Scout Association         policies subject to the availability of places. Such availability is managed by the Group LeadVolunteer supported by the Scout Group Trustee   Board. The programmes of activities and events are devised and delivered by  experienced and trained adult volunteers.  We are always   looking to add to our number so if you can offer any of your time me please get in touch. Enquiries regarding expressions of interest in   obtaining places for Young People or in volunteering as an Adult Leader or Supporter should be sent to ted.fairfax@nlscouts.org.uk                  Original Sections                                                                                                                                                                                                   At St Edmund’s Church site our provision is: Beaver Scouts - ages 6 and 7, Cub Scouts - ages 8, 9 and 10 and Scouts - ages 10, 11, 12 and 13. We partner with North Leeds District Scout Council which runs Explorer Scouts - ages 14, 15, 16 and 17. 

All the Sections run programmes adhering to the Scout Principles with the Scout Principles 

  with the Scout Values of Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief and Cooperation  at their centre

 

Sections meet, on the days and times shown, at the Guide and Scout HQ at St Edmund's (except as stated otherwise).

 

 

Monday

Scouts - Green Troop from 7.30 to 9.00 pm

Marmots Explorer Scout Unit from 8.30 to 10 pm

(Lidge Park Church Youth Hall)

Tuesday

Beavers - Blue Colony from 5.30 to 6.30 pm

Cubs - Blue Pack from 6.45 to 8.15 pm

Scouts - Red Troop from 7.30 to 9.00 pm  (Lidget Park Church Youth Hall)

Thursday    

Beavers - Gold Colony from 6 to 7 pm

Cubs - Gold Pack from 7.15 to 8.45 pm

New Sections

These are managed by the Scout Group as new provisions, starting with Squirrel Scouts launched in November 2024, for a particular catchment within our usual area of operation, which is the Parish of St Edmund’s Church. 

Brackenwood Squirrels Drey Fridays 4.15 to 5 pm (Brackenwood Community Centre). 

There are now 12 Squirrel Scouts and the Brackenwood Beavers Colony Tuesdays 5.30 to 6.30 pm 

With 12 members started on 21st April 2026  (Lidgett Park Methodist Church Youth Hall).
