Music and choir at St Edmund’s
St Edmund’s has a thriving choir comprising children and adults which sings at the weekly morning services and monthly evening services. The church has a good three-manual organ and Yamaha piano and is also used regularly as a venue for concerts.
The church has a regular choir each Sunday at the 10am service, made up of adults and children, which rehearses weekly. This is a four-part choir which tackles a wide range of sacred repertoire. In addition, there is a separate choir which meets monthly to sing a full choral Evensong or Carol Service as appropriate. The church also has a small instrumental group which plays for family services once a month. The church makes regular use of both its three-manual organ and Yamaha grand piano during its services and also plays host to a variety of concerts throughout the year.
